Skipper's cottage is situated in a breathtaking spot just 25 metres from the shoreline of the Sound of Sleat with majestic views towards the Isle of Skye- a short ferry ride away on one of the oldest turntable ferries still in use today . Located at the south side of the village, the cottage is a five minute walk from the village shop and café, not forgetting the famous Glenelg Inn which is renowned for the quality of its food and ambiance.
The area abounds in natural beauty, stunning scenery and wildlife. Hill walks, coastal walks and kayaking can start from the doorstep and numerous munros within a twenty minute drive. Close by are the enigmatic iron-age brochs and austere remains of the Hanoverian barracks . The whole area is a photographers dream !
Renovated to a high standard whilst retaining its warmth of character with wood panelled walls and cosy fireplace, it is bright and welcoming throughout .
